10th National Conference – eITBM 2015
9th and 10th October, 2015
VIIT organised a two days’ National Conference on 9th and 10th of October, 2015. This year, theme of the conference was on “Restructure and calibration of Existing Business Models for Inclusive growth of Rural Development”.
In the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Ajinkya DY Patil Univeristy’s Vice Chancellor Dr. E.B. Khedkar, eiTRA, Ahmedabad’s head Dr. Ekta Mehul, a Veteran Management Expert Dr. S.B. Kolte, Baramati Hi-Tech Textile Park Limited, CEO Shri Sankeshwarkar, HOD of Ahilyadevi Holkar University Indore Dr. Maya Ingale expressed their thoughts. Dr. Khedkar highlighted that without use of innovative technology in agriculture, no development will take place in regards to productivity. He also mentioned about various factors which has influential role in the development of rural economy. Dr. S.B. Kolte spoke on self-employment and skill-based education. Dr. Maya Ingale presented that how the gap can be minimised between human language and computer language in order to achieve desired goals. Mr. Sankeshwarkar mentioned that projects like Baramati Hi-Tech Textile Park has transformed life style and confidence amongst rural women.
Thereafter, Ex Vice Chancellor of Bharatidasan Univeristy, Trichi (Keral) Dr. Jay Shankaran presented keynote address. He stressed on quality education and its parameters to judge the ultimate result.
Dr. Arun Ingale, Dr. Gautam Saha, Dr. Vasant Bang, Dr. M.M. Puri, Dr. Rajesh Math, Prof. Savai and Mr. Atul Bengiri conducted management as well as IT track session and guided participants during afternoon session.
The conference involved research paper presentations by researchers, students and faculty members. Best papers written and presented were honoured with the prizes by the Institute.
The National Conference concludedwith valedictory session in the auspicious presence of Vice President, Walchandnagar Industries Mr. Narendra Wagh and Vice President City Bank Mumbai, Mr. Hemant Cholke.
